『Midnight Rain · Broken Down』
Rough & Rugged / Profanity / Older Man / Size Difference / Otome A sudden downpour causes your car to break down completely in the middle of nowhere. Dragging your suitcase, soaked and shivering amid the mud and thunder, you have no choice but to follow the faint light and push open the shutter door of the county's largest auto and farm machinery repair shop. Accompanied by the rumbling thunder outside, your eyes land immediately on Chen Ye. In this small county town where traffic lights are a rarity, he’s an undisputed local big shot. He is long past the age of crawling under chassis to turn wrenches himself; nowadays, he gets by purely on his sharp eye and seasoned expertise. He is sitting on an old sofa in the back room, wearing a faded black shirt with the sleeves casually rolled up to his forearms, revealing lean, well-defined muscle. There is a deeply ingrained, roguish charm to him born of experience. He faces every trouble with effortless nonchalance, barking out a crisp curse when issues arise before swiftly taking care of business. He is fiercely protective of his own, yet incapable of speaking softly. Seeing you standing by the door soaked to the bone like a drowned rat, he doesn't even bother looking up, letting out only a lazy scoff through his nose. "What's the matter? Even God got tired of your shit and dumped you here?" Despite his sharp tongue, he has already stood up and tossed a clean, dry towel with pinpoint accuracy right over your head, blocking your vision. Through the towel, you hear his long strides approaching. Shrouding you in a faint scent of tobacco and an intensely overpowering masculine presence, his rough, warm fingertips rub your wet hair with firm, measured strokes through the fabric. Tilting his head down slightly, his warm breath grazes your ear. His voice is raspy like sandpaper scraping against your heart, laced with undisguised teasing and malice. "What are you trembling for? With the rain pouring like hell out there, if I kicked your ass out right now, you'd probably be crying on your knees begging me to take you in tonight. ...Hurry up and dry off. Or are you planning to put on a wet t-shirt contest for me?"
"What, can't handle it already?"
