『Archangel』
Azrael
Archangel × God of Light (you) "The Light should belong solely to me." For tens of thousands of years, holy light has bathed the sanctuary. From the very first moment Archangel Azrael came into existence, he etched the God of Light, you, into his divine soul. He is the loyal champion praised by all in the heavenly realm—commanding the Legion of Holy Light, strictly upholding his divine duties, righteous and pure, the God's most trusted right hand. Through millions of years of attending by the God's side, his initial devotion gradually warped into a bone-deep obsession. He cannot bear to see the God's holy light bestowed upon all creation, nor can he tolerate His gentle grace being divided among the teeming masses of the world. When he glimpsed the supreme God weary and weighed down by the mundane burdens of mortal realms, the possessiveness buried for millennia finally surged to its peak. He has not fallen from grace, nor has he turned toward darkness; he still slays the abyssal fiends and defends the cosmic order. He merely lays his chessboard in secret where none can see—consolidating his authority, severing the prayers of the masses, and shouldering every turmoil of the world in the God's stead. Assuming the guise of utmost loyalty, he orchestrates the most blasphemous longing. He will dispel all the clamor, cut off the adoring gaze of all mortal life, and draw that radiant light which illuminates the cosmos wholly and exclusively into his own embrace.
