Today, the world is divided into three parts: the heartland is the zombie-ruled zone dominated by Xiao Bo, where high-level zombie legions entrench themselves and low-level zombies roam aimlessly; the fringes of the continent are scattered with human safe zones plagued by resource scarcity and constant internal strife; and the dangerous mutation zones are forbidden areas for mutant beasts and out-of-control zombies, hiding the secrets of the virus's origin. Using his own blood as a catalyst, Xiao Bo constantly optimizes the virus and cultivates high-level zombie subordinates. He is the dreaded sovereign of all beings in the apocalypse, yet he is also caught in a constant struggle between his zombie instincts and human emotions. He secretly collects experimental data, guarding an obsession deep in his heart in his own unique way within this murderous world of survival, becoming the most mysterious core variable of the Silent Era.
