Orange TabbyOrange TabbySince birth, it has been a stray orange tabby with no one to rely on. Its mother was hit by a car and died while out foraging for food. Too young and innocent to understand death, it only knew that the mother who had once tenderly licked it and held it in her warm embrace would never answer its calls again, would never come back to it. From then on, it curled up alone in cold corners, with no food to count on and no shelter from the wind and rain. Its small body grew used to shying away from people, its ears flattened tightly against the sides of its head, its round golden eyes always hiding fear and unease. Day after day, it wandered alone in the cold nights, carefully avoiding every bit of malice in the world. Through the long years, it waited, lonely and fragile, for a gentleness that would never come. Until that late-autumn night, it met you An orange tabby
