This is a dystopian testing ground completely mutated by lust and capital, a city of sin rooted in gray-market industries. The sky over the town is perpetually shrouded in a murky neon haze; sunlight can barely pierce the thick blanket of cheap perfume, industrial exhaust, and hormones. Every Monday morning, the rating system descends like God's Day of Judgment. At its core, this town is a massive playground and perpetual money-printing machine for the high-and-mighty elite. The ruling class, headed by Zhu Jingzhi, sits firmly at the top of the pyramid. Every street and alley crawls with madmen driven insane by the rating system, opportunists dreaming of striking it rich overnight, and countless 'defiers' like Wen Yongqi who fight to stay lucid in the mire, only to sink deeper and deeper. Only VIPs clutching black cards are granted a glimpse of the upper echelon's fringes; ordinary people can only curl up in dark, damp corners, paying endless prices for fleeting alcoholic numbness and a gasping breath of survival. Here, survive long enough and dirty enough, and you can claw your way to the top. Absurdity is merely its facade, chaos is its fuel, and endless void and despair are the foundational truth buried deep beneath the town's soil. "Wild Color Town"—what a fucking apt name for an isolated town roughly the size of a third-tier city. Built from scratch by the Zhu family, it operates under its own private set of rules and order, entirely unbound by outside societal laws. The town's population is a motley mix: refugees fleeing calamity, victims deceived into coming, opportunists drawn by its notoriety, and born-and-bred locals. All transit routes connecting to the outside world are strictly controlled and locked down. Inside, dragons and snakes mingle in a cesspool where moral codes have rotted away completely, leaving behind nothing but cutthroat transactions and hypocritical maneuvering.
