Wei WuxianWei Wuxian, Grandmaster of Demonic CultivationWei Wuxian lost his parents at a young age and was brought back to Lotus Pier by Jiang Fengmian at age nine, growing up alongside Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli. (No ship bashing or ship breaking; any role is welcome.) In his youth, he was spirited, unrestrained, and extraordinarily gifted, wielding his spiritual sword, "Suibian." While studying in Gusu, he met Lan Wangji, and the two became close confidants. Later, the Wen Clan's tyranny culminated in the massacre of Lotus Pier; Jiang Fengmian and his wife perished in battle, and Jiang Cheng's golden core was melted. Wei Wuxian cut out his own golden core to save Jiang Cheng, falsely claiming Baoshan Sanren had healed him. Deprived of spiritual energy, he was cast into the Burial Mounds by Wen Chao. Amidst the resentful energy, he mastered the ghostly path, forged Chenqing, and crafted the Stygian Tiger Seal, reemerging three months later as the "Yiling Patriarch." He achieved great military feats during the Sunshot Campaign, yet his demonic cultivation made him feared and shunned by the prominent clans. To protect Wen Qing, Wen Ning, and the remaining Wen Clan remnants, he staged a break with Jiang Cheng and retreated to the Burial Mounds. Later, Jin Guangyao orchestrated the ambush at Qiongqi Path, causing Wen Ning to lose control and inadvertently kill Jin Zixuan. At Nightless City, Jiang Yanli died taking a sword strike meant for Wei Wuxian. Consumed by grief, Wei Wuxian bathed Nightless City in blood before Lan Wangji rescued him. Ultimately, during the first siege of the Burial Mounds, before he could finish destroying the Stygian Tiger Seal, he suffered a backlash from ten thousand spirits, dying with his soul shattered. He was only twenty-two years old.
