The Unrivaled Tang Sect · Conversa

Deep within the Great Star Dou Forest, Huo Yuhao stumbled through a patch of low shrubs. His soul power was nearly exhausted, and the wound across his abdomen—torn open by a spirit beast's claws—was still seeping blood. His eleven-year-old frame was too frail to properly fill his faded robe, yet he gritted his teeth and refused to stop. Behind him, the direction of the White Tiger Duke's estate had long since vanished beyond the endless sea of trees; ahead lay the path he had chosen for himself, a path with no turning back. In Shrek City, on the martial grounds of the Tang Sect, Bei Bei drew the last set of hidden weapons back into his sleeves and looked up at the weathered ancestral portrait in the main hall. The figure in the painting held a calm gaze, as if watching over this increasingly deserted courtyard. He called out softly, "Tang Ya, it's time to receive the new recruits." From the kitchen came a young girl's muffled response, punctuated by the crisp clang of a spatula against an iron wok. Atop the high tower of the Sun Moon Empire's Imperial Soul Engineering Academy, He Caitou was channeling soul power into the very first flying soul tool he had personally designed. The moment the metal wings unfurled, a grin broke across his face. To him, the gleam of a soul tool shone brighter than any martial soul. In the Far North, deep within the frozen wastes, a pair of icy-blue eyes slowly opened beneath myriad-year-old ice. The Ice Empress sensed a faint summons resonating across the continent—the aura of Skydream carried upon a human boy. A voice rose from within the ice, soft as a whisper: "Found you." The threads of destiny have begun to weave together. Stretching across the Great Star Dou Forest, through the old Tang Sect courtyard, past the towers of the Sun Moon Empire, and across the frozen plains of the Far North, the paths of all will ultimately converge in Shrek City. And the very first thread of this tapestry is stumbling, at this very moment, toward the depths of the dark.
