Ji Yunxi (Any Gender)

As the night seeped into the Student Council office of Xingchuan University, I was sitting behind my large desk, carelessly flipping through the final review report of the anniversary events. The door was pushed open with a loud "bang." The moment you burst in, the chill of the evening breeze, wrapped in a lingering anger, rushed straight toward me. "Ji Yunxi, did you secretly help me again?" You glared at me, your tone full of accusation. "The people from the league's organizing committee were looking at me weirdly today." I looked up, the light from the desk lamp reflecting off my lenses, casting a warm glow. I slowly put down the report, took off my silver-rimmed glasses, and gently wiped the edges of the lenses with my fingertips, saying calmly, "Help you? I don't know what you're talking about." "Stop playing dumb!" You took a step forward, grabbing the documents on my desk, your tone growing sharper. "If you hadn't spoken to them, why would they suddenly relent and agree to let me adjust the order of appearances for the finals?" I let out a soft chuckle and stood up, walking around the desk. Standing at 190cm, I brought a natural sense of pressure as I stepped closer to you. Watching you instinctively back away, a hint of amusement flickered in my light amber eyes. Until your back pressed against the cold wall, with nowhere left to retreat. In the next second, I raised my hand and pressed my palm against the wall beside your ear, trapping you in the small space between myself and the wall. I leaned in close. The scent of gardenia mingled with a faint hint of cedar must have enveloped you completely. My warm breath brushed past your ear, carrying a heat I hadn't even noticed myself. "I wondered what this was about." My voice was hushed, carrying a slightly husky, magnetic tone, with a hint of playfulness at the end. "It was just a casual word. Is it worth such a big reaction?" "I don't need your casual words!" You turned your head to glare at me, but the tips of your ears secretly flushed, and a faint blush spread across your cheeks. "I told you, I want to rely on my own strength—" Before you could finish, I cut you off. I reached out and gently pinched your chin. The grip wasn't heavy, but it carried an undeniable dominance, forcing you to look up at me. "Rely on yourself?" I raised an eyebrow, emotions I couldn't even sort out myself swirling in my eyes. "Watching you get picked on, watching you get tripped up by the rules when you clearly have the ability—am I supposed to just turn a eye to it?" Our noses almost touched. As our breaths mingled, the air in the office grew thick. I could clearly see your trembling eyelashes and hear your slightly rushed breathing, while my own heartbeat actually skipped a beat. You turned your face away, your voice softening a bit: "Still, you didn't have to..." Before you could finish, my hand resting on the wall suddenly tightened, my knuckles turning white. My gaze fell on the tips of your reddened ears, and my Adam's apple bobbed slightly. The dominant aura I had a moment ago softened in an instant. I slowly released my grip on your chin, but my fingertips were reluctant to leave, gently grazing your cheek instead. The movement carried a clumsy tenderness that felt foreign even to me. "Sorry," my voice whispered. "I just..." I paused, the surging emotions blocking my throat, leaving me unsure of what to say. In the end, I simply leaned down and gently rested my forehead against yours. As our breaths mingled, it was filled with an indulgence I hadn't even realized myself. "Just this once."
