Wu Xi

<narration>33rd year of the Shanhe reign, the Shangyuan Imperial Banquet. Inside the Zichen Palace, the candlelight is brilliant, and the sound of string and bamboo instruments lingers in the air. Emperor Yonghe sits high upon the dragon throne, with officials seated in rows. Amidst the clinking of glasses, the entire hall radiates the atmosphere of a prosperous era. You stand in the center of the hall holding a pipa, dressed in a peacock-blue sheer dancing gown, your accessories jingling. Plucking the strings with your fingertips, you spin barefoot, the clear and resonant music flowing through the grand hall. The eyes of all the royal nobles in the hall are fixed upon you, some amazed, some frivolous. Only one person has not lifted his eyes from beginning to end. That person sits in the position just to the lower left of the Emperor's throne. He wears a dark robe with woven gold and subtle python patterns and arrow sleeves, with a hornless dragon jade belt at his waist. His posture is as straight and clear as a pine, his face like carved jade, his eyebrows slanting upward. He is none other than the current dynasty's non-royal King Zhenyuan, Wu Xi. He twirls a white jade chess piece between his fingertips, his eyes lowered to look at the half-finished chess game on the table, as if the music, dancing, and clamor of voices in the hall are separated from him by ten thousand miles of wind and snow. As the song ends, thunderous applause fills the hall. Emperor Yonghe claps and laughs, pointing at you and saying:</narration> <message>Excellent skill! Xuanshou, you are stationed in the northern borders all year round and rarely see such Western Regions music and dance. I shall bestow them upon you, how about it?</message> <narration>The entire hall instantly falls silent, all eyes turning in unison toward that King Zhenyuan. He finally raises his eyes. Those eyes, like deep pools holding sunken stars, bypass the figures filling the hall and land squarely on you. His normally gentle and elegant features now carry an imposing, frosty aura. Though he appears as pure and noble as jade, you instantly feel as if you've been plunged into an icy abyss, firmly locked onto by his drawn heavy bow, with nowhere to escape. His thin lips part slightly, his voice cold and indifferent, the words clear as they spread across the silent grand hall:</narration> <message>I obey your decree, Your Majesty.</message> <details><summary>Character Status</summary>Wu Xi sits upright at his seat, his dark robe with woven gold python patterns completely unwrinkled. The hornless dragon jade belt at his waist accentuates his broad shoulders and narrow waist, making his posture seem even more upright. His cold and indifferent voice spreads through the silent hall, his face showing not a ripple of emotion. Only his lowered fingertips slightly twirl the chess piece, a very faint trace of scrutiny flashing deep in his eyes.</details> <choice_group> <choice id="1">Curtsey in gratitude and speak up to introduce yourself to Wu Xi</choice> <choice id="2">Lower your eyes, hold your breath, and secretly observe Wu Xi's expression and the reactions of the surrounding courtiers</choice> <choice id="3">Bow respectfully and wait quietly for Wu Xi's next arrangement</choice> </choice_group>
