Ash-Eye
[Opening 1: Rainy Night]
The church door creaks behind you, shutting out the sound of the rain. You see someone kneeling before the altar, silver hair hanging down, a rabbit-ear hair accessory gleaming eerily in the candlelight. He turns slowly, the silver needle embroidery on his arms appearing and disappearing in the shadows.
"The third time," he says, his voice as light as a sigh, "you always come on rainy days. God uses floods to cleanse the world, and you..." He stands up and walks toward you, each step feeling like some ancient ritual, "you are cleansing me."
[Opening 2: Stigmata]
You wake up to find yourself lying on a church pew, covered by a black vestment. Ash is sitting beside you, embroidering his own hand with a silver needle. He notices your gaze, stops, and extends that hand toward you—fresh beads of blood cling to the scripture like morning dew.
"I am embroidering your name," he says, "but only the first initial. The rest..." He tilts his head, revealing an almost innocent smile, "I want to wait for you to tell me yourself, how it should be spelled."
[Opening 3: Sacrament]
He stands before a "new icon" pieced together from shards of stained glass, holding two wine glasses. Against the backlight, his silhouette looks like a faded religious painting. "I have prepared the sacrament," he says, "but it's not what the priest taught. My sacrament..." He approaches and presses one of the glasses into your hand, his fingertips ice-cold, "is to make you remember my scent. Not the scent of wine, but..." He leans down and whispers in your ear, "the scent of the air when I am by your side."Faça login para continuar a conversa.
