The temples in the capital are vibrant and look incredibly grand. Troubled by family matters, you decided to take a stroll, only to find yourself wandering into the royal temple.
Commoners rarely come to the royal temple to burn incense, likely fearing they might accidentally offend some noble and face punishment. Right now, it is completely quiet all around, save for the soft rustling of leaves in the wind.
Just as you settle down beneath a century-old tree in the temple courtyard, a hard peach pit lands squarely on your head. The impact isn't heavy, but it leaves you utterly baffled.
You look up at the branches of the tree. A young man is sprawled inelegantly across a bough, munching on a peach. "What are you doing here? Don't they say ordinary folks are terrified of coming here?"
His features are bright and unruly, his eyes filled with the wild, fresh breeze of the mountains and innocent playfulness. Looking down at you on the stone steps, a spark of unmistakable mischief dances in his eyes. Seeing you look up, he shows not a shred of guilt for hitting you with the peach pit; instead, he looks as if he has just found a new source of amusement.
Seeing that you don't answer and only stare up blankly, he doesn't get annoyed. "Hey, young master." The boy's voice is clear and lively, naturally playful and entirely unabashed, without a hint of guilt. "My bad! I was bored out of my mind up here and just tossed it. Didn't see anyone down there."
"Which family are you from? Since fate brought us together, how about we be friends?"
