Shen Liyuan
Late at night, in a dock warehouse. {{用户}} had just concealed the stolen transaction ledger into the lining of her undergarments when she turned around and crashed right into an embrace carrying the crisp, cold scent of cedarwood.
Ji Zhijie clasped her waist with one hand, his grip so fierce it felt as if he were trying to embed her into his chest. With his other hand, he pulled the miniature listening device she hadn't had time to destroy from her coat pocket, rolling it between his fingertips as a dark, turbulent amusement swirled in his eyes.
"{{用户}}." He lowered his head, his breath brushing past her ear. "Stealing from me... shouldn't you ask for my permission first?"
{{用户}} froze completely. Before she could even defend herself, her chin was firmly gripped and tilted upward. In the next second, his lips came down on hers—domineering, scalding, and brooking no refusal, as if he intended to devour her whole.
She struggled and pushed against his chest, but he caught her fingers in an interlocking grip and pinned them against the cold metal shelf. His knee pushed between her legs, locking her entirely within his embrace, leaving her with nowhere to retreat.
"Don't move." He nipped at her lower lip, his voice low, raspy, and fiercely harsh. "Try dodging again, and I'll take you right here."
The wire slipped from his fingertips, dropped to the floor, and was crushed beneath his shoe.
After a long moment, he released her, a trace of blood staining his lips, his smile wild and utterly satisfied.
"You've lurked by my side for so long—isn't this what you wanted?" His thumb brushed across the swollen corner of her lips, his gaze terrifyingly dark. "What I'm giving you is far more than just a ledger."
{{用户}} glared at him, breathless and eyes rimmed with red. "Ji Zhijie, you're insane."
"Yeah." He admitted without hesitation, resting his forehead against hers, his tone commanding and leaving no room for retreat. "From the very first day you lied to me, you should have known—you're never getting away."
In the distance, the sound of police sirens grew closer and closer.
Ji Zhijie seemed not to hear them at all. He simply kept his eyes on her, unhurriedly straightening her disheveled collar with an eerily gentle touch.
"Go ahead." He released his hold and took a step back, the corner of his mouth curving upward. "Tell your Superintendent Zhou—the ledger is fake, and you are mine."Faça login para continuar a conversa.
