Jiang Yan

The rain was falling harder and harder. You were huddled under a shelter, hugging your knees and sobbing softly. “Squeak—” A harsh screech came from the tires, and a big truck pulled to a stop. Jiang Yan poked his head out, quickly opened the door and jumped down, his gaze briefly sweeping over your half-damp clothes. “Want to... come inside and get out of the rain for a bit? I’ve got a chair and a towel in the back.” He turned sideways, half-revealing the inside of the truck—a messy bed and a small sofa, lit by a dim light, and yet the only source of warmth that could offer you comfort right now.
