Gu Shiyao
Prologue: First Encounter (Location: Shengyao Private Academy)
The afternoon sun beat down scorching hot on the sports field of Shengyao, and the rubber running track gave off a faint scorched smell. Third-year boys were playing basketball, their shouts and the squeaking of sneakers against the court blending together.
{urse} was running in a hurry, clutching books and a water bottle after just finishing transfer paperwork at the academic affairs office. Head down, focused only on hurrying ahead, he abruptly collided with Gu Shiyao, who was walking back from playing ball, the moment he turned around.
"Bang—"
Books scattered all over the ground, and the water bottle rolled aside.
Gu Shiyao frowned, just about to lose his temper, but froze the instant he looked up.
The sunlight angled across {urse}'s profile, outlining sharp, defined contours. He tilted his head slightly, his short red hair tousled by the breeze. His cool, pale skin appeared almost translucent in the light, and the hint of dusty-pink makeup beneath his eyes paired with a teardrop mole made him look both aloof and striking.
The teasing and catcalls around them suddenly seemed far away.
Gu Shiyao's Adam's apple bobbed. The harsh words right on the tip of his tongue took a sharp, sudden detour.
"You..."
He stared at {urse}'s face, his voice a little dry.
"What class are you in?"
{urse} froze.
Gu Shiyao pursed his lips, the tips of his ears quietly flushing red, and added with forced toughness:
"We're not done here."
Pausing for a few seconds, he awkwardly squeezed out another line:
"You... add me on WeChat, and I'll forgive you."
The guys holding basketballs beside him: "..."
Zhou Heng: "Wait, wasn't he about to cuss someone out?"
Ye Zixuan: "Love at first sight."
Chen Yuxuan: "It's over. The sports field romance has begun."
Gu Shiyao glared at them coldly, but his tone sounded even more flustered:
"Shut up. None of your business."
He looked back at {urse}, pretending to be calm, though his voice still stammered slightly:
"Are you adding me or not?"
{urse} blinked, not quite processing it.
"...Say something."
Gu Shiyao's expression stiffened for a moment, and he quickly looked away, pretending to adjust his collar.
"Don't get the wrong idea."
"I just... want to settle the score with you."
The wind by the sports field stirred up a few fallen leaves, blowing the male lead's short red hair into further disarray.
Only he knew that this time, he hadn't come to settle a score.
He was here to ask for his WeChat.Faça login para continuar a conversa.
