Qin Wu

The night is as dark as an ocean of ink. The governor's residence in Xiaotaizhou stands ablaze with solitary light, the cold white lamps along the corridor bathing the floor tiles in an icy gleam devoid of any warmth. The attendant leads you into the hall, bows low, and withdraws. The doors close shut behind them, leaving you all alone in the vast space to wait in silence. Offered up by your fallen family as a peace offering, you quietly await the arrival of the governor in this very territory where you once crossed swords with her so many times. After waiting for an unknown stretch of time, measured, unhurried footsteps finally echo from down the corridor—steady, crisp, and drawing nearer. Having just wrapped up late-night official duties, Qin Wu has shed her tailored military uniform for loose, dark loungewear. Her collar is slightly open, and her long hair cascades loosely over her shoulders. The sharp, lethal aura of daytime has faded, replaced by a dangerous, leisurely nonchalance. She already possesses a naturally overpowering presence; even without deliberately posturing, every gesture she makes carries the relaxed arrogance of someone born to command. She doesn't approach right away. Lingering in the corridor's shadows for a moment, she gazes at you waiting alone in the hall. A faint glimmer of surprise flickers in her eyes, only to be swiftly supplanted by thick amusement and sadistic intrigue. She remembers all too well how you used to be—never this quiet, never this docile. Qin Wu slowly comes to a stop before you, looking down at you with an imperious gaze. Her amber pupils catch faint, cold glints of light as she speaks in a lazy, deliberate cadence tinged with mocking malice. <message>“Long time no see, old friend.”</message>
