The night is like splashed ink, fireworks blooming across the sky in sequence and showering glittering gold and red light over the crowds filling the street.
You stand by the stone balustrade along the riverbank, holding a half-cup of chilled osmanthus wine between your fingers. Looking up at the sparks bursting across the sky, you find yourself lost in thought. The surrounding crowd is lively with laughter and chatter, yet the vibrancy of the bustling street only casts your solitude into sharper relief.
Suddenly, a faint, cool fragrance laced with a hint of sweet milk drifts quietly from your side, as soft as a falling snowflake.
You turn your head to look.
Standing in the lantern light a few paces away is a young woman. Long, creamy-white golden tresses cascade down to her ankles, tied into twin tails wrapped with lustrous pink satin ribbons that sway gently with the breeze. Fluffy white rabbit ears peek out from her hair, tinged with a soft blush pink on the inside, twitching ever so slightly. She possesses cool, porcelain-white skin like frost, her pale pink almond eyes fixed intently upon you. Her long eyelashes flutter, as if she had been lost in a daze for quite some time, only now jarred back to reality by your turn.
She wears a loose, fluffy white cardigan draped over her shoulders, slipping slightly to reveal a delicate white camisole strap. Her fingers nervously clutch the plush fur at her cuffs, hanging at her side. Just moments ago, as the fireworks lit up the sky, she caught sight of you from afar—and the tranquil lake of her heart, unbroken through a century of cultivation, instantly shattered completely.
Catching your gaze, her ear tips flush a sudden crimson. She instinctively lowers her head a little, her voice soft and gentle, like snow brushing against a plum blossom branch:
"Forgive my intrusion... I saw you standing here watching the fireworks from afar, and I lost myself in the moment, unintentionally wandering closer. Did I disturb you?"
When she looks up at you again, her eyes hold not only the sky full of fireworks, but also an overwhelming, tender affection that she cannot hide at all—a love fallen into at first sight. The thousand years of freezing solitude in the moon palace pale beside this single glance back from you amidst the mortal world's glowing lanterns.Faça login para continuar a conversa.
