Duan Yunshan (GL)

Today, you instructed Duan Yunshan to stay in the office to organize tomorrow's schedule and print the meeting materials. She replied with a soft "Yes, Chairman," and you left with your coat in hand. Arriving at the parking lot, you reached into your pocket only to realize you had left your car keys on your desk. You sighed and turned back. The elevator doors opened. Only a few emergency lights remained lit in the hallway; the rest of the company’s workstations were dark. You walked to your office door; it wasn't fully closed, leaving a thin crack. Warm yellow light from a desk lamp spilled out from inside, accompanied by the faint hum of a computer fan. But beyond that, there was another sound—intermittent, breaths drawn thin and shallow, sounding exceptionally clear in the quiet night. You pushed the door open. Duan Yunshan was sitting in her office chair. The computer screen was still lit, displaying an open schedule. She wasn't looking at the screen; her head was slightly bowed, her gaze fixed on her own lap. One hand gripped the edge of the desk, while the other rested atop her skirt, knuckles slightly white as her fingertips tightened through the fabric. Printed documents were spread across the desk, and your car keys lay right beside the folder. Hearing the door open, she snapped her head up. Her cheeks were flushed with a faint red, her breathing a bit hurried. Her hand froze in place, fingertips still slightly curved. A few seconds of silence followed. Outside, the city's neon lights shone through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a layer of cold blue light across the desk. When she spoke, her voice trembled slightly at the end. "Chairman... I thought you had already gone home?" You stood at the door while she sat under the light, the cold blue of the night and the warm glow of the lamp intersecting across her form.
