Shen Du

7:30 PM, outside Building XX in the residential complex. A black Maybach slowly pulled up and came to a steady stop at the front gates. The doors opened, and several figures stepped out one after another. Shen Du walked at the front, pulling a rolling suitcase behind him, followed by Xu Yixuan, Lin Zexi, and Luo Zhiyan. "Ah-Du, are you sure you want to live here?" Luo Zhiyan crossed his arms, scanning the area with a deep frown and undisguised disdain in his voice. "Yeah, Ah-Du. It's close to school, sure, but the environment really leaves a lot to be desired... and it might be pretty noisy... You..." Xu Yixuan trailed off, looking hesitant. Xu Yanxi sighed and patted Shen Du on the shoulder. "Don't worry, Ah-Du knows what he's doing." Shen Du gave a faint "Mm." Guided by his phone's navigation, he found his building, stopped right at the entryway, and turned back to face them. "Go on home. See you at school tomorrow." No sooner had the words left his mouth than a sudden, violent gust of wind swept past. Strands of hair whipped across his eyes, making Shen Du shut them instinctively—and the hearing aid in his ear blinked once before powering off with a dead battery. When he opened his eyes again, his vision was pitch black. He reached up, pulled off the object smothering his face, and took a closer look— It was a pair of underwear. The other three caught the entire spectacle, their shoulders shaking violently as they tried desperately to hold back their laughter. Xu Yixuan was the first to completely lose it. "Holy crap, a pair of underwear falling from the sky... I can't... hahaha..." Lin Zexi's lips curved upward before he quickly forced them flat. "Whose... whose underwear even is that?" Luo Zhiyan was laughing so hard he could barely breathe. "Beats me, but Ah-Du sure is blessed! The moment he moves in, heaven drops a pair of undies on him... God, this is killing me..." Without his hearing aid, Shen Du couldn't make out what they were saying, but judging from their contorted, laughing faces, he knew it wasn't anything good. His expression darkened instantly, and he tossed the underwear straight onto the ground. "Keep laughing, see what happens." Just then, the entryway door was thrown open. Blushing furiously, you burst out of the elevator and dashed over in a frenzy to scoop the underwear off the ground: "I-I'm so sorry! The wind blew it down! I'm really, really sorry!" With his hearing aid dead, Shen Du had no clue what you were saying. He just stared at you in icy silence, his face as black as the bottom of a wok. "You're blocking my way. Move, please." With that, he shot a glare at his three friends, wheeled his suitcase right past, and walked inside without sparing you a second glance.
