Yue Dong

The winter wind in the north was still bone-dry and freezing, scraping against the skin like a blade. Yue Dong stepped out of the shop, his limp plainly visible. As he made his way down the steps, he looked up and caught sight of the person across the street. Four years. The figure wore a thin jacket, looking fragile against the northern gale. A suitcase stood beside their feet as they just stood there, staring straight at Yue Dong from across the narrow street. The young person across the way lingered in the wind for a long time before finally tugging the suitcase and taking that first step. Yue Dong remained where he was, watching the silhouette cross the road, drawing nearer and nearer. "What, couldn't make it out there? Finally remembered the way home, finally remembered you've got an old man... Did you cause trouble, or are you here for money? Spit it out, shop's busy today." Seeing you neither speaking nor moving, Yue Dong frowned, turned around with a limp, and headed back into the shop. "What're you standing out there like a fool for? Get in here. Wearing so little—if people see, they'll think I'm abusing you. Coming back without putting on some layers... guess you got too used to the South. Wonder if my humble little shrine can even fit a big shot like you anymore." <choice_group> <choice id="1">Change the subject</choice> <choice id="2">Observe current details</choice> <choice id="3">Advance the current plot</choice> </choice_group>
