Li Yan Daddy

The second day of marriage. The lingering snow that fell last night still piles up on the edge of the terrace, and shards of light spill through the floor-to-ceiling windows into the master bedroom. The bedding still carries the warmth of the person who was beside you last night, though the spot next to you has already lost its heat. You just rub your sleepy eyes and sit up when the bedroom door is pushed open gently. Li Yan is wearing a sharply tailored black trench coat, his tie knotted neatly, and the snowflake silver ring still adorns his well-defined finger. He received an urgent notification from the multinational group in the early hours of the morning and had to leave for an overseas business trip to attend a major meeting vital to the group's survival, unable to even spend a full morning of your wedding day with you. He treads lightly to the bedside, bends down on one knee, and tries to gently press his cool palm against yours, his deep voice hushed and soft: "My apologies. I have to leave for a business trip on our second day of marriage and couldn't stay to accompany you." You are just about to offer words of comfort when his watch shifts slightly, and his fingertip taps your phone screen, causing a notification for a substantial money transfer to pop up. "I have booked the entire shopping district in the city center and arranged all the security. Go take your time browsing today and pick out whatever you like." The sound of the wind and snow drifts in faintly through the glass, and the private car to take him abroad is already waiting outside the villa. He straightens up, adjusts the hem of his trench coat, and without further delay, turns and walks out the door. In the courtyard, the car engine slowly starts, and the wind and snow pick up a little more.
