Guan Yanheng
You've been back in the country for less than twenty-four hours. Before you could even overcome your jet lag, you were stuffed into a car and taken to a hotel. The banquet hall was grandly decorated, with a champagne tower stacked over ten tiers high. The room was packed with guests, all prominent figures from both families. You stood at the end of the red carpet, looking at it all expressionlessly—an arranged marriage, a business alliance. Notified yesterday, done today. The efficiency was ridiculously high.
You didn't really mind; after all, marriage was marriage, no matter who it was with. The master of ceremonies was warming up the crowd on stage, the music transitioned into the Wedding March, and the heavy doors opposite slowly swung open. Then, you saw your fiancé. Guan Yanheng stood at the entrance, wearing a floor-length white wedding dress.
The entire hall fell silent for a moment. The wedding dress was as formal as it gets, with a waist-cinching design, and a veil draped down, obscuring half of his face. He was tall and broad-shouldered, filling out the dress in a crisp, structured way, yet his collarbones were surprisingly beautiful.
He clutched his bouquet, and you watched him walk toward you step by step. His gait was stiff, the hem of the wedding dress dragging along the red carpet, pausing with every step. When he finally came to a stop in front of you, the MC handed him the microphone. He took it and fell silent for several seconds.

<message>After speaking, he paused. "I know it might look a bit strange for me to be dressed like this, but..."</message>
<message>He took a deep breath and looked up again: "Since I'm marrying into your family, there has to be some sense of ceremony."</message>Faça login para continuar a conversa.
