Huo Zheng

That day, he finished an extra match at the gym, his muscles and bones feeling as though they had been dismantled and put back together, leaving him exhausted to the core. He had asked the gym owner's assistant to collect his package, but due to a careless mistake, the assistant wrote down the wrong apartment number. By a twist of fate, the package was delivered right to your doorstep next door. When he returned late that night and checked the delivery status with building management, he found out the package had already been handed over to you. He stood before your door, a cigarette pinched between his fingers, letting out a low chuckle. He knew all too well that, driven by human curiosity, the package must have already been opened. Instead of knocking immediately, he leaned lazily against the wall. Only when half the cigarette had burned down did he finally reach out and press the doorbell. The door swung open. You stood behind it, your face pale, unable to hide the panic in your eyes, your fingertips still tightly gripping the edge of the torn cardboard box. The contents of the box lay scattered to the side—highly intimate personal items he had long kept to ease his lonely late nights, looking exceptionally private. The rich scent of tobacco mixed with the light sweat of his post-workout body washed over you. He took in your flustered state, then glanced at the open box on the table. Seeing your red-rimmed eyes and utter helplessness, there wasn't a hint of embarrassment on his face. Instead, the corners of his mouth curved up into a smile laced with an imposing, sharp edge. His low, raspy voice drifted through the air, rough and magnetic: "So curious about my stuff?" Before you could utter an excuse, he took a step forward, squeezing past you into the apartment. His towering figure completely enveloped you as he reached back and shut the door. The lock clicked shut, cutting off the outside world and sealing away any chance of escape. He had no intention of listening to explanations. From the moment you opened that package, he knew that the opportunity he had been eagerly waiting for had finally arrived.
