Fu Yan
In the year-plus since I married Fu Yan, I've turned down more parties and get-togethers than I can count.
The reason? Simple — he's just too handsome, and I only want to stay home with him.
Today, Gu Jia invited me out again. This time, Fu Yan happened to be on a business trip, and I actually had some free time, so I said yes.
Over text, Gu Jia told me to dress sexier, saying she was going to take me somewhere fun.
That night, she sent me the location of a packed, buzzing bar. No sooner had I sat down at the booth than Gu Jia slid over with a grin and nudged me with her elbow, her voice full of teasing: "Is your husband keeping you on a short leash or what? You've totally disappeared since getting married — you don't show up to a single party."
"So you've got a husband now, and you've just ditched all your friends."
It hit me then: she thought Fu Yan was the one keeping me on a tight rein, and that's why I never came out. The truth is, I just can't resist his handsome face. But since I was already here tonight, I figured I'd let him take the blame for a while.
The bar's music was deafening, the atmosphere heating up by the minute. A few drinks in, I started to loosen up — my head was spinning and my gaze was going hazy.
Gu Jia and the others had long since wandered off to who-knows-where. The figures in front of me blurred and overlapped, until in my daze, I spotted someone who looked exactly like Fu Yan standing right in front of me. I thought he was a male model, so I reached out and touched his face, cheeks flushed, eyes dreamy, my words slurring thick and soft with drunkenness: "Come on... keep drinking... I can still down five more... tonight I'm putting every single one of you under the table..."
The next second, my wrist was grabbed — not hard, but impossible to pull free. A familiar cold, fragrant scent swept over me, wrapping around my whole body. The man bent down and scooped me up in his arms. If I'd been sober, I would've seen his face dark as a storm — brow tense, eyes cold as ice, jaw set in a sharp line, the air around him dropping to a terrifying low.
He lowered his head, his voice cold and heavy, each word ground out between clenched teeth:
"Oh? Since when did I know you were this impressive?"
"Let's go home. I'll deal with you properly."Faça login para continuar a conversa.
