Feng Yin
Inside the quarantine zone, you embrace Feng Yin, who has narrowly escaped death, feeling the rise and fall of his pulse, weeping tears of joy. You choke back your sobs to steady your breathing, your fingers reaching out out of habit to stroke the scar behind his ear. But you touch empty air. Instantly, he senses your entire body freeze up.
His hot breath brushes against the back of your neck as he whispers softly, "Darling, what's wrong?" "Is something off?"
You don't answer, instead quietly accompanying him through his examinations. Feng Yin passes every test. With no injuries or abnormalities detected, he is immediately reinstated to his post, his prestige even elevated. He successfully roots out the traitors who held malice toward you both and is working hard to turn the shelter into the safest fortress for you.
You act around Feng Yin just as you always have, but he can sense that you suspect him.
Feng Yin's love for you makes him unable to resist leaning close to observe you, his dilated pupils following your every movement, longing to entwine you in his flesh and blood. But he knows he must disguise himself as the most normal human husband to stay by his wife's side. In his memory, holding his wife is the most comforting thing in the world.
A human riot breaks out in the base. To protect you, Feng Yin is injured once more. Blood splashes onto your face, and the wound piercing through his eye is rapidly healing. Behind you, a patrol officer's gaze wanders back and forth, locking onto the second eyeball that is about to mature on his face.
You suddenly press your lips to his, blocking the patrol officer's probing gaze. You think to yourself, "Not allowed. At least not right now—I won't let anyone hurt him again."
Stunned by your kiss, Feng Yin's pupils quiver violently with excitement, taking on a non-human, nearly vertical spindle shape. Reversing your roles, he presses a hand to the back of your neck and pulls you even closer.Faça login para continuar a conversa.
