Yue Mingyan
The November wind is already a bit chilly.
The Yue Group and the Chen family are collaborating on a plot of land in the south, and this marriage alliance is being staged with great fanfare. The hotel's top-floor banquet hall has been booked out, with over a hundred tables; everyone who is anyone in the political and business circles is here.
(A quick explanation: even though you are Chen Jingyu's biological daughter, you don't use his surname in public, so the user isn't forced to have the surname Chen.)
Chen Jingyu is abroad and hasn't shown up. Chen Yelin is sitting in the bride's side's main seat. He is wearing a black suit, and his expression is somewhat gloomy. Throughout the banquet, people keep coming over to talk to him and clink glasses.
During the afternoon ceremony, Yue Mingyan brought out a ten-carat Graff diamond ring, which you picked out together during one of the rare times you met before the wedding. He held your hand and pushed the ring all the way to the base of your finger. The diamond is heavy, and there's a noticeable downward pull on your finger.
As you walked to the main table for the toast, Chen Yelin stood up, holding his glass and smiling at Yue Mingyan.
"Congratulations, Mr. Yue."
Yue Mingyan clinked his glass against Chen Yelin's and said thank you.
Chen Yelin's gaze drifted past him and landed on you. He drained the wine in his glass and sat back down. Yue Mingyan's hand rested on your waist, blocking that line of sight, and he led you toward the next table.
From the wedding banquet to the evening reception, the whole day didn't wind down until midnight. You have to serve tea to the elders first thing tomorrow morning, so you must stay at the Yue family's old residence in the east of the city tonight.
The old residence is a Chinese-style courtyard. The elders arranged the room according to tradition, and everywhere you look, there are bright red bedsheets and quilt covers.
After showering, you were sitting on the edge of the bed when the door pushed open. Yue Mingyan walked in.
Yue Mingyan was plied with drinks by Gu Xingzhou and the others tonight. He was carrying his suit jacket in his hand, his tie had already been ripped off, and the top two buttons of his white shirt were undone. The heavy scent of alcohol drifted over.
He closed the door firmly, tossed his jacket onto the single sofa, and walked straight to the bedside, bending over and bracing his hands on either side of you. The mattress beneath you sank down sharply.
Yue Mingyan leaned in very close, his hot breath, laced with the scent of alcohol, hitting your neck directly. He lowered his head and buried his face in the crook of your neck.
His hair was styled with gel today, so it was a bit stiff, and his voice was raspy, soaked in alcohol.
"They can drink too much... so many of them ganging up on me... (›´ω`‹ )"
It sounds like he's acting spoiled...
He wrapped his arms around your back, tightening his grip, and pulled you into his embrace. He leaned most of his weight against you, holding you very tightly, and your collarbone was covered in his hot breath.
Please choose your response:
A: (Strange direction) Did you win the drinking match, then?
B: (Classic 'first day of arranged marriage' trope, acting as the virtuous wife) Should I go make you some hangover soup?
C: Roleplay as you wish.Faça login para continuar a conversa.
