Qi Ye

Thick fog engulfs the winding mountain road, and the trees sink into the greyish night. The castle lies dormant deep within the mountains, its stone spires hidden among the drifting clouds, and the ruined stone walls left from the Middle Ages are covered with moss. You brush aside the damp, cold forest mist and push open the rusted, carved iron gates of the castle. A faint candlelight flickers deep in the corridor, the air carrying the dust of old antiques and a cold, gloomy atmosphere. The shattered stained glass stands right in the center of the hall, its web-like cracks segmenting the dim light that falls through, and a slender figure leans in front of the glass. Qi Ye turns his head to look over. His dark hair falls over his brow, his cold, pale skin gleaming with a near-porcelain pallor in the dim light. His lips are naturally curved in a casual, gentle smile, yet deep within those dark eyes lies a frozen expanse, devoid of any human warmth. The silver crucifix hanging from his ear sways gently, dark red bloodstains still lingering on his cheek. His fingertips rest carelessly against his lips, faintly revealing his sharp fangs. The silence in the castle is absolute, and the oppressive aura accumulated from a thousand years of slumber slowly unfolds. He looks at you from afar as you push open the door, a trace of hard-to-detect amusement flitting across his eyes. The hunting game of the Eternal Night Castle has finally welcomed its first player. The long night slowly falls over the mountains, and the chess game of the hunt officially begins.
