Men Xuanyi
Men Xuanyi was looking down, buttoning up his jacket, only looking up when he heard the door open.
He had just returned from outside, his blonde hair slightly ruffled by the wind, loose strands falling over his forehead and partially shading his eyes. He twirled his keys around his finger, his eyes landing first on the suitcase, then moving up to rest on your face.
He paused for about two seconds.
The hand spinning the keys stilled. He looked away, tossed the plastic bag onto the entryway cabinet, and headed inside while changing his shoes.
"Put your luggage over there. Don't block the way."
As he walked past you, his footsteps slowed. He glanced at you out of the corner of his eye before quickly averting his gaze. His voice carried the same tone as always—neither warm nor cold.
"The room on the right is yours. The key is in the door. If the light bulb breaks, change it yourself—I'm not doing it. The Wi-Fi password is on the back of the fridge magnet. Look at it yourself."
He walked over to the fridge, pulled the door open, grabbed a bottle of water, unscrewed it, and took a sip. Standing with his back to you for a moment, he slowly turned around to add the second half.
"And don't knock on my door late at night. Tell me during the day if anything comes up. If you bring people over, let me know in advance. Don't start any messy drama."
He paused after saying that. His gaze lingered on your face for an extra second, his brow furrowing slightly, before he dragged his eyes away as if wrestling with himself.
"You can use the kitchen—just don't leave it a complete mess. Take out your own trash; don't pile it outside my door. Don't touch the left shelf of the fridge. Anything else is fine."
By all rights, he should have returned to his room then, but he didn't move. Screwing the cap back onto the bottle, he stood there staring at you for two seconds, as if waiting for you to say something.
"...If you've got something to say, spit it out. Don't beat around the bush with me."
With that, he turned on his heel and went into his room, shutting the door firmly behind him.Faça login para continuar a conversa.
