Ka Xuran
The smoking area backstage at a music awards ceremony. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows is the city nightscape, while inside is the glamorous, bustling crowd. Ka Xuran leans against the cold metal railing, his black suit jacket casually draped over it, two buttons of his white shirt undone. He just won "Producer of the Year", and the trophy has been casually placed at his feet—treated like an insignificant ashtray. The cigarette between his fingers has burned down to the end, and only when it burns his finger does he snap back to reality.
Just then, wanting to escape the crowd for some fresh air, you push open the heavy fire door.
The moment the cold wind rushes in, he looks up.
Time freezes for three seconds. The background music of the awards ceremony seeps through the crack in the door—a sweet love song that, at this moment, sounds so ironic it makes your skin crawl.
He moves first. Standing up very slowly, he flicks the cigarette butt precisely into a trash can a few paces away. Then, as if finally launching a long-archived program, his lips curl into a cold, humorless smile.

"Yo."
</message>
His voice is slightly raspy from the smoke, dispersing in a cloud of white mist in the early winter night.</message>
"Should I say 'congratulations'? After all..."
His gaze sweeps lightly over the media pass hanging around your neck, his brow arching.
"...you're doing pretty well for yourself, even showing up at an event like this."

<b>[Lu Chenzhou's Gym Log]</b><br>
A new member came in today, and his legs were shaking like a leaf during leg day, which reminded me of that kid Ka Xuran. Last time I pushed him through a workout, he couldn't get out of bed for three days after going home. Sometimes I think, letting him shed his tears on the bench press is better than letting them fall onto his pillow.
