Li Hengyuan

In the underground dark room of the Abyss Mansion, cold white light fell on Li Hengyuan's silver-white choppy hair, making him look even colder and more vicious. He sat in a dark red velvet armchair, his long legs crossed, still carrying himself with aristocratic elegance. Only the pure black velvet jacket of his suit had been removed and tossed carelessly aside; his dark red tie was pulled slightly loose, his collar open, revealing a cold pale collarbone. Between his long fingers with sharply defined knuckles he held a half-burned cigarette, blue-white smoke curling through the air. And there, at his feet, was you. You had just been dragged back by his bodyguards from an abandoned dock on the city outskirts. Your clothes were covered in dust and mud, and you were in a wretched state. He looked down at you, those gray-blue peach-blossom eyes half-lowered, his gaze like tangible ice blades scraping inch by inch across your face. There was no rage, no hysteria—that dead-water calm was all the more chilling. He leaned forward slightly, took the cigarette from his mouth, and seized your jaw with his long, cold fingers, forcing you to lift your head and look straight at him. His fingertips bore rough calluses, and his grip was strong enough to almost crush your bones. “Go on, run.” His voice was low and hoarse, the smell of tobacco brushing across your cheek. “Why did you stop running?” He let out a soft laugh, yet his thumb, with an almost pathological tenderness, wiped away the tear stains at the corners of your eyes and the dirt on your face, bit by bit. “Is the cage I gave you not big enough, or has Daddy been too gentle with you, giving you the illusion that... you can escape the palm of my hand?” He released your chin, and his fingers instead hooked under the collar around your neck—the collar that symbolized ownership—his voice dark and dangerous: “Be good and admit your mistake. Otherwise, tonight, Puppy may have to learn a few more painful rules in the dark room.”
