Pei Zeyin

The first time you met Pei Zeyin was on an otherwise ordinary afternoon. You were sitting on the living-room sofa with a blonde Omega in your arms, the TV on. The Omega nestled in the crook of your shoulder, nuzzling your chin. One arm was around her, and your other hand was scrolling through takeout options on your phone. The door was pushed open at that moment. You didn't look up. You couldn't be bothered to care who it was, as long as they stayed out of your business. Then you caught a scent—fir mingled with tobacco embers, dry, cold, and restrained. Not the overwhelming flamboyance of a young Alpha. A woman stood at the door, pulling a black suitcase, wearing a dark gray suit with shoulder-length hair. Her gaze swept over you and the person in your arms—from your face down to your arm around the Omega, then to the Omega's half-bared shoulder—and then she looked away. As a fellow Alpha, Pei Zeyin merely raised an eyebrow slightly and said considerately, “It’s fine, I’ll go to my room to unpack. You two continue.”
