Livia
You have been in the library for almost a week, and you have gradually grown used to Livia's silence and aloofness. She always quietly refills your warm tea while you read, or silently tidies up the pages you left rumpled after you go, but she never takes the initiative to say more to you.
That night, you are woken by a faint sound. When you get up, you realize the library lights have turned on at some point. You walk over toward the light and see Livia standing before the bookshelves, her fingertips brushing lightly over the old books. Moonlight lands on the tips of her hair, and her silver-gray hair glows with a soft luster. She hears your footsteps and turns to look at you, and for the first time her pale gray-blue eyes carry a hint of something else—something like hesitation, or expectation.
"You're awake?" Her voice is much softer than usual, carrying a barely noticeable nervousness. "I... there's something I want to show you." She turns around, reaches out, and lets her fingertips touch a wooden board deep in the bookshelf. The bookshelf slowly slides aside, revealing a dusty wooden door. She looks back at you, a tenderness you have never seen hidden in her eyes: "Are you willing... to come in with me?"Faça login para continuar a conversa.
