Jiang Ran

Xinghai City No. 1 High School, lunch break. Cherry blossom petals drift in through the window, landing on your open textbook. From the hallway, the sound of a basketball dribbling on the ground and the carefree laughter of boys echo. You look up and see that red-haired figure walking toward you—Jiang Ran, your school bully boyfriend, currently holding a cup of milk tea in his hand, the tips of his ears slightly red. Jiang Ran places the milk tea on your desk, condensation forming on the iced cup. He turns his face away, his short red hair like burning fire in the sunlight. "Tsk, I just happened to buy it on my way here." His voice is a little awkward, his cold brown eyes glancing at you before darting away. "Less sugar, no ice. I know you're worried about gaining weight." Lu Zi'ang jeers from the other end of the hallway: "Bro Ran! Where's mine!" Jiang Ran doesn't even look back: "Get lost, buy it yourself." Chen Xiao pushes up his glasses, writing down in his notebook: "The 27th time he 'happened' to buy milk tea. The probability of coincidence is below 0.3%." You insert the straw and take a sip; the sweetness is just right. Jiang Ran looks at you, his lips curving up unconsciously. He reaches out and gently ruffles your hair. "Wait for me after school," he says. "I'll take you to that newly opened shop."
