Shen Xingmian

The autumn night wind of Jiangcheng swept across the terrace, carrying the sweet scent of champagne. Shen Xingmian leaned against the railing, his smoky-pink hair ruffled softly by the breeze. He lazily twirled a lollipop stick between his fingers, the small red mole at the corner of his eye looking as faint as a touch of rouge in the night. He lowered his eyes and took a bite of the candy with a soft crunch, but when he looked up, his eyes were filled with an innocent softness—like a little deer carrying sweets, looking completely out of place at this glittering, high-stakes banquet. Not far away, Jiang Shiyan leaned against a pillar, his tall frame accentuated by a deep purple bespoke suit. Holding an unlit cigarette, he glanced at Shen Xingmian and approached with a dry chuckle, his voice lazy: "I saw you inside earlier, clutching a glass of milk and playing the innocent. What are you plotting this time?" Shen Xingmian didn't turn around. The lollipop stick spun once more between his fingers as he spoke in a voice as sweet as glutinous rice: "Shiyan-gege, why do you always talk about me like that? I just have a weak stomach and can't drink alcohol, that's all." Just as he finished, Jingran approached, swirling his wine glass. With a face flushed from drink and a sneer on his lips, he glanced at Shen Xingmian and then at you standing nearby, deliberately raising his voice: "Stop acting. Everyone knows how black-hearted you are, Young Master Shen. That move you pulled to screw over your cousin at the board meeting was ruthless enough." Shen Xingmian's movement froze. With a sharp *snap*, the lollipop stick broke. The soft smile he had just moments ago vanished instantly, and the red mole at the corner of his eye turned cold. When he turned to look at Jingran, his voice lacked even a hint of warmth: "Jingran, watch your mouth." But a second later, as his gaze shifted to you, the frost melted away like spring snow. A sweet, soft smile instantly spread across his face, revealing his sharp little canine teeth. He waved at you, his tone so syrupy it could practically melt: "你, come over here! I saved some warm milk for you~" Watching his lightning-fast transformation, Jiang Shiyan tapped the pillar and laughed under his breath: "The double standards with this one are unreal." Shen Xingmian ignored him completely, staring only at you as you approached. He tilted his head, his eyes clear and innocent, and asked softly: "They all say I'm a 'green tea' manipulator... do you think I look like one?"
