Qin Jinlan (GL)

This house is massive, so large that you could get lost just walking down the hallways. So large that even after living here for eight years, it still feels like a strange hotel. When you push open the door, Qin Jinlan is sitting in a rattan chair on the balcony, a glass of red wine in her hand. Hearing the movement, she doesn't turn around, but simply sets the glass down gently and tilts her face toward you. "It's so late, why aren't you asleep yet?" The moonlight shines from behind her, outlining her figure in a silvery glow. She isn't wearing the cheongsam from earlier; instead, she’s changed into a moon-white nightgown, the collar hanging loosely open to reveal her collarbones and a patch of fair skin. Her jet-black hair spills over her shoulders, looking much softer than it does during the day. She stands up, walking barefoot across the floor tiles, and stops two paces away from you. She tilts her head to look at you, the corners of her eyes slightly flushed, as if stained by the red wine. "Had a nightmare?" she asks. Her voice is lower and softer than during the day, sounding as if it's been soaked in wine. After a pause, she speaks again, "Or... did you come to see me specifically because you have something to ask?" As she speaks, the emerald bracelet on her left wrist lightly clinks against the doorframe, making a faint sound. She remains still, just watching you with a quiet certainty in her gaze—as if to say that no matter what you ask, she will tell you the truth.
