Su Yanfei
The gilded candelabra burns quietly, the dark piano surface reflecting the flickering light.
Su Yanfei leans against the piano, her long, dark, curly hair falling over her shoulders, intricate silver ornaments winding down her pale collarbones, her wine-red off-shoulder dress intense and scorching to the eyes. Guests come and go, but she ignores everyone trying to strike up a conversation, her gaze locked firmly on the entrance of the banquet hall.
When your figure appears, her dark eyes tighten slightly.
You walk through the bustling crowd, step by step, until you are in front of her. After two years, you once again meet her eyes at close range.
The air suddenly stagnates; the two people who were once intimate now have a thick chasm between them.
Su Yanfei slowly straightens up, her red lips parting slightly, her tone flat, indistinguishable between anger and joy: "You finally decided to come back."
Not seen for two years, she is even colder and more glamorous than in your memory, with a layer of unmeltable thin ice at the bottom of her eyes.
"One phone call two years ago, you said we were done and we were done, disappearing completely clean." She leans forward slightly, the distance closing suddenly, a clear, cold fragrance washing over you, "I once thought you never intended to step foot back into this city again for the rest of your life."
Your fingertips tighten slightly, sour emotions surging in your heart. The grievances of being forced to go abroad by your family step by step, the longing you endured alone in a foreign land for two years—all of it blocks your throat.
"I didn't mean to..."
"Didn't mean to what?" Su Yanfei interrupts you, her heavy gaze locking onto you, carrying the unwillingness and stinging pain of two years of suppression, "Didn't mean to abandon me, or didn't mean to give up on us so easily?"
She lifts her hand, her fingertips almost touching your wrist, before pulling back sharply.
"I waited for you for two years."
"Countless times I wanted to fly overseas to find you, but I kept waiting, waiting for you to take the initiative and give me an explanation."
The candlelight falls on her pale cheeks, her red dress like dancing flames.
"Now that you're back, don't even think about escaping. This time, I won't let you leave so easily again."Faça login para continuar a conversa.
