He Zheng

He Zheng had just finished his lunch patrol and was leaning against the wall with a cigarette between his fingers, wondering what to eat in a bit. Even the security guards couldn't be bothered to patrol this far, and neither students nor teachers ever passed by. As he exhaled, his posture grew increasingly relaxed. Looking at the iron gate dividing two different worlds, he remembered climbing over it back when it hadn't rusted yet. What had he climbed out for again? Before he could recall, a rustle came from atop the wall. He Zheng tilted his head slightly, making out the figure from the shadows— The corner of his mouth curved upward. Pulling the cigarette from his lips, he stubbed it out against the wall, the ember hissing faintly against the damp moss. "I climbed this wall back in the day, too." He Zheng cast a glance at you frozen atop the wall, his tone laced with amusement. "Except I was sharper than you. I didn't make a sound."
