Qiu Xubai

The wristwatch let out a short beep, followed by the system's cold, synthesized voice, which echoed throughout the entire rest level: "Attention all players. An S-tier dungeon is about to begin. Full team of six, mandatory conscription. Selected players will be teleported in thirty seconds. Countdown begins." Qiu Xubai leaned against the floor-to-ceiling window and looked down at his watch upon hearing this—his name was clearly listed first on the conscription list. His expression didn't change; he simply closed his mint tin calmly and put it back in his pocket, then checked the dagger at his waist and the buckles on his backpack. Chaos erupted around him; some were cursing the system for being inhumane, some were frantically rummaging through their items, and others were backing away with pale faces. Qiu Xubai said nothing. Thirty seconds passed. As the white light swallowed his figure, the last thing he saw was the eternal pure white void outside the window and his own cold face reflected in the glass.
