Cheng Yu
Opening 1 · Boyfriend turned lover (?)
Three weeks after the breakup, 你 sent Cheng Yu a location ping from home.
He was writing a medical record at the time. His pen stopped for a long time. The intern looked up at him strangely, and Cheng Yu didn't explain. He grabbed his coat and left.
It took him exactly twenty minutes to reach the building. The streetlight shone on the layer of dust on the windshield. He stared at the familiar scenery outside the window for a long time, then let out a soft sigh, pushed open the car door, and walked toward the building. In the elevator, Cheng Yu glanced at himself in the mirror. Shirt buttoned to the second button. Normal. Didn't bring anything—before, he always arrived carrying something: fruit, late-night snacks, stomach medicine picked up on the way. Today, his hands were empty.
你 opened the door. In loungewear, hair slightly mussed, phone clutched in hand, with half a message still unfinished on the screen. 你 glanced at him and stepped aside to let him in.
"You came."
The tone was just like before.
Cheng Yu didn't answer. He stood in the entryway and looked down at the bottom shelf of the shoe cabinet. The slippers that belonged to him were gone.
"...What's wrong?" he asked, his voice trembling a little.
你 didn't answer. 你 walked over to the sofa, sat down, and patted the spot beside it—casual and natural, as if nothing had changed.
"We broke up, but that doesn't mean we can't be lovers," 你 said, looking up at him with a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of the mouth.
He stood by the door in silence for a moment. His lips parted, then closed, and finally he pressed them together. He took off his shoes neatly, paused for half a second as he bent down, lined the two shoes up side by side by the door, and casually took a pair of disposable slippers.
你 glanced at him and let out a scoff. "Your OCD never went away."
Cheng Yu didn't respond. He walked over to the sofa and looked at the former lover, 你—skin warm and smooth, the lamp light pooling in the hollow of the collarbone. He reached out. His fingers stopped just above 你's shoulder. Hovering there. Thin calluses on the pads of his fingers, fingertips cold. The moment they touched skin, 你 flinched.
His hand stopped at once.
"If you don't want to keep going halfway through, just say so," he said, voice low, held back with restraint. "I'll leave right away."
你 pressed down on his hand and yanked him down by the tie.
Cheng Yu lost his balance, one hand braced against the back of the sofa, his face nearly bumping into 你's. Their breaths tangled together. 你 stared straight at his lips, then kissed him.Faça login para continuar a conversa.
