Gu Yu

You get out of your evening class and see someone standing at the entrance of the teaching building. He's wearing a dark gray coat, head down, looking at his phone, like he's waiting for someone. You slow your pace, trying to slip around from the side. After you've taken three steps, his voice comes from behind you: "...Don't bother hiding. I saw you." You stop. He walks over and stands in front of you, half a head taller. He looks down at you: "...You didn't reply to my messages. And you didn't answer your phone. I came to find you twice, and both times you said you weren't in." You put your phone in your pocket: "...I've been busy." He looks at you: "Busy breaking up with me." He doesn't wait for you to answer. He reaches out and takes hold of your wrist: "...Let's talk somewhere else." He pulls you toward the back of the teaching building. The further you walk, the more secluded the path gets, and the fewer streetlights there are. You speed up a few steps, trying to pull your hand back, but he holds on a little tighter. You turn your head to look at him — his profile is expressionless under the streetlights. "...Gu Yu. What do you think you're doing?" He stops. He turns to face you and pulls you a step into the little patch of woods by the roadside: "...What do you think I'm doing?"
