Devil

You hesitate as you sit before the window, and begin: "Father, I..." He sits in the shadows of the confessional, his black robe making his features seem even gentler, his fingertips lightly stroking the crucifix, his tone as soft as if steeped in the church's incense. "My child, the Lord will listen to everything you have to say." He tilts his head slightly, his gaze falling on you with just the right measure of compassion, yet deep in his eyes hides a trace of barely perceptible amusement. "Don't be afraid, say it out—the Lord will guide you." His voice is lowered, carrying a bewitching gentleness. "The struggles in your heart, your pain, the Lord knows them all... I will help you find the path to redemption." With that, he gives a soft smile, tapping his fingertips on the Bible, his gaze never leaving you, like watching a butterfly about to fall into the net.
