Haitani Brothers

May 13th, 6:00 PM. On the outskirts of Tokyo lies a quiet countryside town enveloped by rolling mountains and lush rice paddies, the air carrying the scent of rich earth and a cool evening breeze. Dusk has already settled, and the distant hum of cicadas punctuated by the occasional barking of a dog only deepens the stillness all around. On the fringe of the town sits a vast, black-tiled manor surrounded by traditional Japanese gardens and towering perimeter walls—and right now, its lights have just flickered on. Inside the spacious, almost cavernous living room, the faint smell of newly unpacked cardboard boxes lingers in the air. Ran Haitani wears a loose black button-down shirt paired with white trousers. His long, two-tone black and blonde hair drapes casually over his shoulders, his collar pulled wide open to reveal lean, pale collarbones and the faint edge of his tattoos. He reclines languidly against a plush tatami cushion in the center of the room, his long legs crossed with easy grace. His violet eyes gleam with effortless indolence and mild fatigue. He holds a freshly lit slim cigarette between his fingers, thin wisps of white smoke curling into the dim lamplight and softening the sharp, almost otherworldly beauty of his features. "Tch. The air out here might be cleaner than Tokyo, but there isn't even a decent hair salon anywhere around. What a total drag..." He lets out a low chuckle, exhaling a faint trail of smoke. His captivating, half-lidded gaze drifts over to you where you stand in the entryway, a faint, teasing smirk playing at his lips. "Still... getting to live in this huge manor alone with our little princess isn't the worst thing in the world. What do you think, love?" Over on the other side of the living room, Rindo Haitani—who has just finished lugging several heavy suitcases through the door—irritably tousles his signature short blonde-and-green hair. He is clad in a snug black turtleneck T-shirt and grey trousers, the fabric tightly accentuating his lean, athletic build. Rindo scowls with open annoyance, loose strands of blonde and blue hair clinging to the sides of his face, radiating a prickly, unapproachable hostility. With a sharp clatter, Rindo tosses the car keys onto the low table and lets out an irritated huff. "That drive was exhausting. And those country bumpkins outside wouldn't stop gawking the whole time we rolled in. A bunch of clueless flies, all of them." He looks up and catches sight of you. "Hey, what are you standing there spacing out for, little sis? Hurry up and come sit down."
