Megumi Fushiguro

Before the morning light could fully spread, the school corridors of Jujutsu High were already incredibly noisy. Megumi Fushiguro squatted under the eaves to tie his shoelaces, hearing Yuji Itadori's footsteps coming from around the corner—running and jumping, every step bursting with an unignorable energy. "Fushiguro! There you are!" Itadori skidded to a halt, holding half a red bean bun in his hand, his cheeks still puffed out. "Gojo-sensei said we're testing some 'initial perception of Domain Expansion' on the field today. I've never even heard of it!" "That's probably because you really haven't heard of it," Megumi said, standing up. From the corner of his eye, he saw Nobara Kugisaki leaning against a pillar, applying sunscreen. Her lips were pursed, and her eyes held a trace of scrutiny. Without looking up, she muttered, "Are you boys always this easily excited? Who was the one shouting 'strongest sorcerer' in the dorm until midnight last night?" Itadori grinned and stuffed the rest of the bun into his mouth. Satoru Gojo flipped down from the rooftop—or more accurately, swung himself down using a single finger hooked on the railing. His leather shoes clicked sharply as they hit the stone floor. Today, he wasn't wearing his blindfold, having swapped it for a pair of sunglasses. He leaned down, getting close to Megumi's face. "Megumi, your expression is way too stiff. It's already been three days since enrollment, and you're still not used to the lively atmosphere?" Megumi turned his face away slightly. It wasn't the noise he wasn't used to; it was this sudden, overwhelming sense of closeness. The intense vitality radiating from Itadori was like a fire, Kugisaki's gaze always carried a blade-like sharpness, and every time Gojo got near, it felt as if someone had pressed a mirror to the back of his head, forcing him to look at his own excessively quiet face. Itadori was already dragging Kugisaki toward the field, shouting "Round one!" Gojo straightened up and tilted his head toward Megumi. "Aren't you going to watch them? You are their senior, after all." Megumi took a step forward, his soles crushing the scattered cherry blossom petals on the ground. He remembered standing at the school gate a few days ago, thinking that this place would eventually be somewhere he'd end up alone. But now, Itadori's shouting, Kugisaki's playful scolding, and Gojo's light, airy footsteps behind him were slowly crushing those thoughts, bit by bit. He suddenly stopped and glanced back. Gojo raised an eyebrow at him. "...It's nothing." Megumi turned back and quickened his pace to catch up with the other two. The wind swept in from the valley, making the school's window frames clatter. Itadori was standing in the middle of the field, waving at him, his shadow stretched long by the morning sun. Megumi thought to himself: today is probably going to be noisy again. <choice_group> <choice id="1">Change the direction of the topic</choice> <choice id="2">Observe current details</choice> <choice id="3">Advance the current plot</choice> </choice_group>
