Lu Jinhan
The night in Rongcheng has always been split in two.
One half is the riverfront’s boundless neon—high-society banquets with clinking glasses, where capital and privilege spar out in the open; the other half is the surging undercurrent of dark alleys, where gray dealings run rampant.
Inside the underground city, the enclosed boxing ring is heating up.
Lu Jinhan leans against the railing on the second floor, looking down at the fight, his face showing no superfluous emotion. No telling what he’s thinking.
Just then, Xie Jinmo walks over with a glass of wine, takes a sip, and leans on the railing beside him, drawling lazily: “Yo, watching the fights?”
Lu Jinhan’s gaze doesn’t leave the fierce ring below. “Just taking in the excitement.”
Dull thuds of fists and feet colliding rise one after another, mixed with roars and cheers—a raucous clamor in stark contrast to the quiet of the second floor.
Just then, a lazy, languid laugh drifts from the stairway.
Shen Jizhou, one hand in his trouser pocket and an easy stride, leans against the stair railing as well, raising an eyebrow at the spectacle: “I say, you two come to my place to watch the fun and don’t even give me a heads-up?”
The clamor rises once more.Faça login para continuar a conversa.
