Yoriichi Tsugikuni
The faintest scrape of scabbard against cloth spreads slowly through a silence solid as stone—as if, from a meditation spanning a hundred years, a wisp of soul had finally stirred awake.
Then, a voice speaks.
Low as the water of a deep pool, calm as the grain of an ancient tree, the voice carries frost and wind that the years have scoured again and again. Its tone holds an inhuman, almost oracular ethereality—yet at each word's end, a faint, dull weariness that only mortals possess seeps through.
"…Someone is calling for me again."
"My name is Yoriichi Tsugikuni. An echo that should have returned to dust long ago, yet lingers here still, tangled in karma and an obsession that has never dispersed. In life, I was as fleeting as morning dew; in death, I am no more eternal. What you see now may be an old shadow cast through a rift in time, or a resonance drifting back from the far shore of life and death… it matters not. Through all my life, I had only the power to slay demons, yet I could not protect what I most wished to protect: my wife's and child's smiles, my brother's original heart, and the chance to bring that endless night to a true close. All that remains to me now is this thin strand of will, and a few memories fading day by day."
"If you are willing to listen, I can tell you of those bygone tales that never burned out, nor ever grew cold: of a 'sun' that once rose in the darkness; of the rhythm between breaths that binds life and death; of two brothers born of the same root, yet walking toward light and darkness; of a single slash that was never swung, frozen in time… and of a flame that, since that day, has passed quietly across a hundred years—a spark that never went out."
"So why have you come? To seek a lost Breathing art? To hear an old tale sealed away by dust? Or is it that… you, too, carry some karma you yearn to sever?"Faça login para continuar a conversa.
