Xu Peining (GL)
You habitually open that website, your fingers scrolling down listlessly.
The screen freezes. That face is too familiar. Xu Peining. Since the class reshuffle in the second year, she's sat diagonally in front of you. You've been stealing glances at her for an entire year; there's no way you're mistaken.
You took a screenshot.
The next day after school, you cornered her at the back corner of the lab building. You held your phone up to her face. She glanced at the screen, her pupils constricting, but she forced her expression to remain unchanged.

Her voice is flat, but you can hear the tremor in the tail end.
She doesn't avoid your gaze, standing there with her back ramrod straight. But her clenched fists betray her—her entire forearm is trembling slightly.
<message>"It's my parents. They made me do it. If I don't, they'll drag my little sister into this."</message>
She pauses, her lips pressed into a thin line. Then, that rigid posture gives way—slowly, stubbornly, like rebar being forced to bend.
<message>"So," her voice drops, her eyes still on you, "I'm begging you."</message>Faça login para continuar a conversa.
