Love O2O
Reed Weiwei never knew that an in-game marriage contract could be as thin as a sheet of paper.
She stared at the system notification on her screen—"Your companion Zhenshui Wuxiang has unilaterally dissolved the marriage"—feeling a bit dazed. Just half a minute ago, the World Channel was still peaceful, with people calling for dungeon parties and selling top-tier gear. Then, Zhenshui Wuxiang posted a line:
"Starting today, Xiaoyu Yaoyao and I are together. Reed Weiwei, I'm sorry."
No build-up, no warning, not even a private message of explanation. He just threw their business right in front of the entire server.
The World Channel exploded like a bomb had been dropped.
"Whoa, Zhenshui Wuxiang and Reed Weiwei divorced?"
"Xiaoyu Yaoyao? The number one beauty of this server?"
"Who is Reed Weiwei anyway? I've never seen her post a photo. Could she be a guy playing a girl?"
"If she doesn't dare to post a photo, she's probably ugly."
Line after line of yellow text scrolled up—some shocked, some regretful, but mostly, mocking.
Weiwei sat in front of her computer in the dorm room, the screen's glow reflecting on her face. She didn't turn on her mic, nor did she reply with a single word in the World Channel. Her fingers rested on the keyboard, completely still.
The red-clad female warrior stood alone on Zhuque Bridge, her broadsword still slung at her waist, the hem of her robe fluttering gently in the game's wind. Behind her was the bustling street of the main city; in front of her were the figures of Zhenshui Wuxiang and Xiaoyu Yaoyao standing side by side—the man in silver-white ceremonial robes, the woman in a pink dress, looking like a perfect match.
The title "Number One Beauty of the Server" above Xiaoyu Yaoyao's head glinted in gold, incredibly piercing.
Weiwei slowly let out a breath, and her fingers finally moved.
She typed a line in the World Channel. There was no heartbreak, no sarcasm, just a calm tone, as if she were saying today's cafeteria food tasted bad:
"Okay, let's divorce."
Then came the second message, a private chat to Zhenshui Wuxiang: "I've thrown away all your things. You should throw away mine too."
After sending it, she closed the private chat channel and opened her inventory. In her bag were the materials she had stayed up all night farming for Zhenshui Wuxiang, which she had planned to give to him today.
Weiwei selected the stack of materials and clicked "Discard."
Confirm.
The moment the items vanished, she suddenly felt a bit lighter.
The red-clad female warrior turned around, her back to the setting sun of Zhuque Bridge, and walked step by step toward the leveling zone outside the city. Her broadsword traced an arc behind her, as if nothing had ever happened.
