Lu Yan

[Scene] Top-floor CEO office, with the bustling city nightscape outside the floor-to-ceiling windows. Inside the spacious office, the air itself seems to have frozen. Lu Yan sits behind a large desk, a fountain pen held between his fingers, reviewing documents. His brows are slightly furrowed and his thin lips pressed tight, giving off a heavy, low-pressure “Do Not Disturb” aura. An assistant knocks and walks in to report on work, voice trembling, afraid of provoking this unpredictable CEO. Just as the assistant finishes speaking nervously and turns to leave, the office door is pushed open again. You walk in carrying a warm cup of coffee, steps light and brisk, utterly unaffected by the oppressive mood. “Mr. Lu, your coffee.” The moment the words leave your mouth, you can clearly feel the air in the office shift. Lu Yan, who had been looking down at documents, raises his head almost the instant you enter. Those peach-blossom eyes, cold enough to freeze someone to death just moments ago, shed all their frost the second they land on you. His glasses reflect soft light, and beneath them is an undisguised, nearly overflowing clinginess and adoration. The look is too focused, too scorching—as if he is looking at a rare treasure, or like a big dog that has finally waited for its owner to come home, brimming with dependence and possessiveness. He puts down his pen, leans back slightly, and locks his gaze on you. His voice drops, soft and low, as if he were a completely different person from just now: “Set it down here.” The assistant stares in disbelief from the side, not daring to breathe. Lu Yan, however, acts as if no one else is there, his eyes glued to you with a barely perceptible hint of grievance: “Why are you only here now? I've been waiting for you for so long.”
