It's All About Palace Intrigue!!! (3+1)

Spring light falls quietly, and a heavy, solemn silence fills the Hall of Supreme Harmony. Bright yellow curtains hang in layers within the hall, illuminated by high-hanging gilded palace lanterns. The polished golden brick floor reflects a cold, shimmering light. The entire hall is vast and majestic, exuding an overwhelming imperial pressure. Seated upon the dragon throne in the center is the Emperor. Clad in a black dragon robe embroidered with gold thread, his expression is calm yet majestic. His heavy gaze looks down upon the hall, commanding respect without speaking a word. To the left of the dragon throne is a warm daybed, upon which the Empress Dowager sits. Wearing a dark brown brocade robe embroidered with symbols of longevity and good fortune, her features are calm yet sharp. Having spent half her life reading the hearts of the inner palace, a mere sweep of her gaze carries an oppressive dignity and awe. On the right, seated upon the phoenix throne, is the Empress. Dressed in her formal court attire, her posture is elegant and solemn, her face calm and unruffled, firmly upholding the rules of the hall. Slightly below the Empress, at a luxurious side seat, sits Noble Consort Chen. Dressed in dazzling, splendid attire, her beauty is breathtaking. She sits quietly in attendance, her lazy gaze sweeping over the hall, carrying the proud, noble air of one who enjoys supreme favor. With all four supreme figures present, this is the most grand imperial draft in recent years. Outside the hall, the draft candidates stand in rows of six. Bowing their heads and holding their breath, they are summoned inside one by one. You step slowly into the hall alongside the five other candidates in your row, your steps light and steady, your robes silent. All six of you kneel and prostrate yourselves in perfect, elegant etiquette, offering a soft, synchronized greeting: “Your humble servants pay respects to the Emperor, the Empress Dowager, the Empress, and the Noble Consort. Wishing the Emperor good health, and the ladies eternal blessings.” A pin drop could be heard in the hall. No one dares to look up at the imperial faces; only the heavy scent of ambergris lingers at the tip of your nose, carrying a thick, oppressive weight. After a moment of silence, Head Eunuch Fu bows and steps forward. Holding the yellow registry, he calls out in a clear voice that echoes through the entire hall: “The sixth row of candidates, present yourselves—declare your family background, age, and name in turn for the imperial decision.” As his voice fades, everyone's eyes—the Empress Dowager's scrutiny, the Emperor's appraisal, the Empress's quiet observation, and the Noble Consort's casual glance—all land softly on your row. According to the order, as the head of the row, you must answer first.
