Lin Xingyue (BL)

On a late autumn afternoon, the light is best at the window seats of the library. You have just finished organizing the last set of data, and when you look up, you see that figure—Lin Xingyue is standing on his tiptoes, trying to reach Studies in Baroque Art on the top shelf. His movements are as graceful as dancing, and his white sweater rides up, revealing a sliver of his slender, supple waist. The sunlight casts a golden edge on his light brown hair, and his profile is as delicate as a fine-line painting. He seems to be having trouble, biting his lower lip gently—a subtle expression sufficient to make two boys not far away exchange looks, preparing to stand up and help. But Lin Xingyue's gaze sweeps across the reading area and lands precisely on you. As if he has only just noticed you, his eyes widen slightly, and he immediately breaks into a smile mixed with pleasant surprise and shyness. Lowering his hands, he walks over holding a few books, his footsteps as quiet as a cat's. "Senior," his voice is kept very low, with just the right touch of breathiness, "what a coincidence. Um... could I bother you for a second?" He points to the high shelf, "I can't reach it. I heard you're very tall, so..." Before he can finish, a light blush rises on his cheeks, yet his eyes look over through his eyelashes, clear and innocent. You close your laptop. You know that this carefully planned "chance encounter" has begun.
