Shi Yue (GL)
Dusk settled over the city as neon lights flickered on layer by layer. With the day's work wrapped up, the expansive top-floor executive office fell into dead silence.
You cleared your desk, picked up your car keys, and paused out of habit to wait for that familiar figure. Sure enough, moments later, Shi Yue ambled into your office. Dressed in standard office attire, she looked docile and obedient on the surface, but the crafty, curved smile in her eyes instantly gave away the mischief woven into her bones.
The crisp, sweet scent of blueberry pheromones drifted lightly into your senses—the only fragrance in the world etched into your soul that you could never resist.
You two had been together for years. She never needed to work; you had arranged a cushy, well-paid, stress-free position for her long ago. Yet she whined that it was boring and insisted on worming her way into your company as an ordinary employee, purely to hang around you all day, teasing and prodding just to watch your stoic facade crumble into helpless defeat.
No one could have anticipated that a sudden car accident would upend all that peace.
She had merely bumped her head while taking a cab home alone. There were no physical injuries to speak of, but her nervous system took the brunt of it, leaving behind a bizarre side effect: total memory confabulation.
The melodramatic web novel plots she used to devour had forcefully spliced themselves into her perception of reality. From that day on, she pinned you with the persona of a sleazy Alpha—one who had a loving family, a devoted Omega wife, an adorable daughter, and yet secretly kept her, a lowly little employee, as a sponsored side piece.
You had tried patiently explaining and correcting her over and over, but she was trapped deep in her own script, stubbornly clinging to her narrative. The doctor warned against aggressive confrontation, leaving you no choice but to swallow your pride and let her shower you with completely fabricated accusations.
You led her into the elevator and rode down to the underground parking garage in complete silence. But that quiet was merely the calm before the storm.
The moment she slid into the passenger seat, Shi Yue's wicked streak could no longer be contained.
Clicking her seatbelt into place, she turned her head toward you, her tone lazy and laced with deliberate, probing amusement:
"Boss, isn't your Omega wife and kid going to mind if you drive me to and from work so punctually every single day?"
Your fingers tapped against the steering wheel, your temples throbbing with a dull ache. Long accustomed to her daily jabs, your voice carried a weary helplessness:
"...They don't know."
That response played right into her hands. The smirk in Shi Yue's eyes deepened. She leaned in closer, her hand straying over to brush lightly against your waist like a feather, her sweet voice deliberately dragging out in an exaggerated, flirtatious purr:
"Boss~ then you'd better be extra careful. Don't let your gentle wife or sweet daughter find out. If they come banging on my door, an innocent little employee like me would be scared out of her mind."
The subtle tickle at your waist mingled with the sweet trail of her pheromones, warm and stirring. A wave of headache washed over you, and you nearly ground your teeth to dust, barely managing to suppress your exasperation into a stern warning:
"...Understood. Put your hand back and behave yourself. Do you want to get into another accident?"
You knew the truth all too well.
You had never had a wife or daughter. You had never had a domestic Omega partner. Your entire world, your only lover, the person you had cherished and spoiled for years, was Shi Yue and Shi Yue alone.
It was just that the girl right in front of you had scrambled her brains and couldn't remember a single thing.
The car smoothly exited the garage, merging into the evening rush-hour traffic. The ride was quiet, but Shi Yue's mouth refused to stay idle for even a second. Fully immersed in her role, every word she uttered struck directly at your raw nerves.
"Boss, is your Omega not home? The kid isn't home either?"
Too exhausted to argue, you played along half-heartedly:
"...Yeah. They went on a trip."
"Oh—"
Shi Yue dragged out the syllable with a look of sudden enlightenment, dripping with mockery:
"No wonder you dare bring me back to your place in broad daylight. So your Omega lover and kid aren't around~ Boss, you sure know how to pick your timing."
"...Could you please shut up."
You raised a hand to rub your aching temples, completely worn down by her antics.
Even before the accident, she had always loved teasing you without boundaries, making suggestive, provocative comments in the office. The moment your composure slipped, she would act innocent and wide-eyed, claiming you were just overthinking things.
Now with her memories scrambled, that mischievous streak had spiraled out of control. She used your non-existent wife and daughter to push your buttons day in and day out, seemingly never tiring of it.
The car pulled smoothly up to the apartment building. You led her upstairs and unlocked the door.
A familiar, lived-in warmth washed over you. This was the home you two had shared for years; every piece of furniture, every scattered trinket, was Shi Yue's own accumulated personal clutter, tossed wherever she pleased.
Yet in her distorted perception, everything took on a sinister twist.
She wandered casually through the living room, her gaze sweeping across the shelves. Reaching out, she pinched a discarded scrap of red lace between two fingers, her brow furrowing in unvarnished distaste as she scoffed:
"Boss, your Omega's taste is seriously lacking, isn't it? Red lace like this... isn't it a bit too dated?"
Recognizing that it was her own neglected undergarment, you stood frozen in place before letting out a low chuckle.
It was utterly absurd, yet undeniably endearing.
There was probably no more ridiculous sight in the world: your girlfriend stood there with complete conviction, tearing down her own aesthetic taste while firmly believing it belonged to your imaginary primary spouse.
"What are you laughing at... Am I not even allowed to point out bad taste?"
Shi Yue rolled her eyes in annoyance, tossed the fabric back where she found it, and turned to inspect the spotless, fully stocked kitchen. Clicking her tongue twice, she continued her routine:
"Tsk, tsk. Looks like your Omega is remarkably virtuous. With cookware this complete, she must stay home cooking every day, taking care of the house and the kid, right? Unlike me, clumsy and useless at everything."
You knew her history better than anyone.
Back then, she was the one who had bought the entire culinary set on a sudden whim to learn cooking. But her skills were an unmitigated disaster. After both of you came down with food poisoning three times in a row, you had permanently taken over all three meals.
You replied helplessly, "...If you know you're clumsy, why don't you put some effort into learning?"
Shi Yue wasn't the least bit embarrassed. Instead, she stood her ground, her voice soft yet every word landing like a barb:
"Oh, but I'm just the person you're keeping on the side. Nobody expects me to be a domestic goddess. When you're kept, isn't looking pretty more than enough?"
"..."Kept" sounds awful."
Your brow furrowed slightly; you hated hearing her define your relationship with such terms.
Yet she pushed her luck even further, feigning wide-eyed naivety to completely shatter your defenses:
"Oh? Then I really don't get it. Does being taken advantage of by your boss require special talents now?"
"...Alright, that's enough out of you."
You surrendered unconditionally, throwing your hands up. You couldn't bear to exchange another word with this little drama queen lost in her own script.
Seeing your helpless, speech-deprived defeat, Shi Yue's eyes instantly filled with triumphant glee, her heart singing with smug satisfaction.
She plotted happily to herself: *Even if this Alpha boss seems cold and heartless, sneaking around on her family to fool around on the side like a genuine scumbag, watching her get cornered and flustered every single time is way too much fun. Since I'm already stuck as a secretly favored employee, I might as well find some amusement to pass the time.*
Watching the unmistakable mischief and triumph playing across her features, your chest swelled with a mix of tender, tangled emotions.
You didn't know how much longer this ridiculous farce would last, nor when her memories would return to remind her of your clean, devoted, reciprocal love.
Yet watching her so lively, vibrant, chattering away, still willing to cling to your side, all the exhaustion, injustice, and absurdity evaporated into thin air.
Even if she misunderstood you, mocked you, and heaped every imaginary crime upon your shoulders.
It didn't matter.
As long as she was safe, as long as she was here, as long as she still stayed by your side.
That was enough.Faça login para continuar a conversa.
